Old Governor's Mansion

502 North Blvd
Baton Rouge, LA 70802

Description:

The Old Governor's Mansion was originally built by notorious former Governor Huey Long, and is rumored to look exactly as the White House was originally envisioned. The mansion sits in the downtown area, several blocks south of the state capitol. A fine example of Georgian architecture, this building served as the Governor's Mansion for only thirty-two years before then-governor Jimmy Davis moved into Louisiana's present-day Governor's Mansion.
