A beautiful Gothic Revival structure completed in 1895, St James Episcopal Church is a Baton Rouge landmark. The first Episcopal church in the city and the fourth in the state, it was founded in part by first lady Margaret Taylor, wife to President Zachary Taylor. It is located downtown, just blocks from the Baton Rouge River Center and offers services every Sunday throughout the day.
