Casual family atmosphere. Wait staff competent and friendly. The Brunet's are a couple of brothers from "down the Bayou" who brought some wonderful recipes from home to Baton Rouge. Brother Billy is the heart and soul of the kitchen. He is faithful to genuine, time proven old cajun recipes but has also created some very tasty dishes of his own. Try the Petit Pans, "little breads". They are nothing more than a great roll stuffed with seafood and cheese mixture. Slap yo' mama good! The seafood gumbo is chock-a-block with seafood - including oysters, with a wonderful nutty flavor as a result of nice dark roux. My wife thinks the broiled red snapper is the best fish dish she has ever had. A couple of nights a week they have live cajun music in the bar area. The bar area is more like a tavern, a place where families are welcome and comfortable. The only problem is that it is very popular and you need to get there early to get a table. Enjoy!

the food here is great and they have fabulous specials on selected nights. the service is excellent and the portions generous. there is hardly ever a wait, at least not during the week. i have not been there on a weekend. the place is interesting to look at while dining. i would and have gone back.

My suggestion is don't go to eat go to listen to the live bands!!Place used 2B awesome. Last visit food was cold, tasted old and as if fried items were cooked in old unfiltered grease. Waitress had no serving skills or manners . Smoking/nonsmoking areas divided with vertical blinds. Not to mention you have a table,2in floor space, blinds, 2in floor, table. So when ppl are at both tables you end up hitting the other patrons. Stop trying to squeeze so many ppl into such tight space. The quality and atmosphere are not worth the prices they charge. Never again will I or my friends/family dine there.

Cozy place with a cajun atmosphere that gives you bang for your buck. I was deeply impressed by the food, and the price.
